CommissionsEmilio de la Garza Jr.1980 Commissioned by the School City of East Chicago and C. F. Murphy and Associates to create a life size bronze bust of Emilio de la Garza Jr., Congressional Medal of Honor winner. The bust was done posthumously for the Emilio de la Garza Career Center, East Chicago, Indiana. The building, designed by Helmut Jahn, was the recipient of a Chicago Architectural Award in 1981. The portrait was completed and delivered in December 1981.
