"Illinois Traveling Sculpture II," a selection of 68 works by 27
Illinois sculptors which toured Illinois for one year. Curators:
Edward McCullough, sculptor, Bloomington, Illinois and Barry Tinsley, sculptor,
Chicago, Illinois. The 27 artists represented were chosen from 56 entrants.
Four major works in bronze exhibited: Raptor, bronze, 29" x 15 1/2" x 15"; Raptor
2, 47" x 18" x 19"; Predator 9,
15 1/2" x 21" x 3 1/2"; and Predator 10,
16"
x 9 1/2" x 11". In 1978, the exhibit toured to Illinois State
University, Quincy Society of Fine Arts, Quincy Art Club; in 1979 to Fine
Arts Center of Clinton; Rock Valley College, Rockford; Highland Area Arts
Council, Freeport; Chicago Horticultural Society Botanic Garden, Glencoe;
The Mitchell Museum, Mount Vernon; The Capitol Development Board, Springfield;
Eastern Illinois University, Charleston; Rockford Arts Council, Rockford;
Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. |
