Commissioned by Holy Cross Church, Champaign, Illinois, to create a unique (edition
of one) crucifix as part of the total interior renovation of the church. The sculpture,
a 7' high work in polished bronze, was modeled, cast, finished, and installed by
the artist on November 4, and dedicated on November 27, 1983. Members of the Selection
Committee included Father Bernard Render, pastor, and University of Illinois Professor
Harry Breen, Director of the renovation. |
